The newly elected Director Auxiliary District (DAD) of the Coast Guard Auxiliary District National Capital Region-Central Luzon (CGADNCR-CL) declared a stronger, professionalized and fulfilling membership with the PCGA under his leadership and command from this year to 2016.
RADM VALENTIN B PRIETO JR PCGA took the reins of CGADNCR-CL from its former DAD COMMO HILARION F DIMAGIBA PCGA in the early evening of Friday, May 30 at the Golden Fortune Seafood Restaurant.
In his acceptance speech, RADM PRIETO PCGA said that his leadership shall focus on preparedness and productivity to further strengthen CGADNCR-CL.
"Under my leadership, you can expect less talk but more action. We will correct the inverted pyramid style of Squadron management, establish and train Auxiliarists from Coastal Barangays, professionalize the organization, promote the awareness of protocol, strengthen our capabilities and make firm with our relationship with the Philippine Coast Guard," he said.
RADM PRIETO PCGA likewise added that he will ensure that membership with the CGADNCR-CL will be enjoyable and fulfilling for all.
In this light, RADM LUIS M TUASON JR PCG, the event's Guest of Honor, expressed his full support to the new DAD and assured the same vision for a more competent PCGA.
"Commo Dimagiba, has brought laudable merits to CGADNCR-CL and I am confident that Radm Prieto will bring more progress to this District. You must remain committed to the realization of helping the PCG and carry out with the highest level of competence.
"You shall also provide sustainability in this administration and I am positive that you can translate the trust and confidence given to you. The achievement of the DAD is the reflection of the collective effort of your people and rest assured that we in the PCG will continue to support your leadership," RADM TUASON PCG said.
Another highlight of the event was the giving of memento to RADM Tuason, Merit Medal to the Squadron Directors and Commendation Medal to the CGADNCR-CL staff and CGDNCR-CL Station Commanders, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff, as well as to the Deputy Chief of Coast Guard Staff for Community Relations Service (CG-7).
