Adhering to the focal mission of VADM Joseph DY PCGA, national director of the PCG Auxiliary, the 125th Squadron actively promoted and maintained the cleanliness of the marine environment through various activities held this October.
Last October 4, this Squadron joined its partner Coast Guard Station (CGS) Cavite in a mangrove planting activity in Isla Bonita and Brgy Ligton 2 in Rosario, Cavite.
Upon low-tide, the Squadron, together with the 103rd and 129th Squadrons, AIMS, PNP-Rosario, Cavite Dental Chapter, Petron and Cavite LGU were taught on the proper planting of propagules.
A total of 2,000 mangrove propagules were successfully planted by the team until 0930H.
On October 25, a coastal clean-up activity was hosted by the Alpha Phi Omega fraternity at Barangay Lawin, Cavite City.
This was participated by 125th Squadron and CGS Cavite.
