When the faithful goes to sea, a safe and secure boating experience is ensured by the Coast Guard and its Auxiliary.
Case in point is the 84 devotees onboard 40 vessels, who took to sea in celebration of the annual feast of La Virgen dela Soledad de Porta Vaga in Cavite City last 08 November, Saturday.
The parade was considered a success as no untoward incidents were reported and devotees were able to peacefully exhibit their adoration to their patron saint.
Making this possible is the joint efforts of Coast Guard Station (CGS) Cavite and its partner 125th Auxiliary Squadron who ensured that only those who are listed in the manifesto are allowed to board the vessels.
Squadron officers have also provided life jackets to the devotees who boarded the mother boat F/Bca Dexwinson where the patron saint was transported.
Working alongside their Coast Guard partners, the Squadron officers conducted crowd control at shore and maritime safety by making sure that the boats are safely distanced from each other.
